Popular Muslim Imam: Working Towards Sharia for America

Popular Imam Siraj Wahhaj is Vice President of the Islamic Society of North America, “Amir” of the Muslim Alliance in North America, previous advisory board member for the North American Islamic Trust, and frequent speaker at ISNA, CAIR, and other Islamic organization events. According to a report by the Clarion Project, Wahhaj has been seeking support among Muslim to replace the US Constitution with Sharia law. At one meeting, he said,

“If only Muslims were clever politically, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate. If we were united and strong, we’d elect our own emir and give allegiance to him. Take my word, if eight million Muslims unite in America, the country will come to us.”

However, he wants Muslims to be silent about it. Premature discussions of Sharia would hinder progress toward the goal of making Islam the American religion and Sharia law the supreme law of the land, but that has always been the global mission of Islam.

America’s problem is judgment. God always raises up a more moral people to stop the moral crimes of nations and empires. Ancient Israel, Babylon, Rome, Aztecs, British empire are all examples of how once moral tribal people became large corrupt, powerful and violent nations/empires overtaken by a more righteous people. If Americans refuse to repent, they will also learn the hard lesson that people of all corrupt and immoral cultures have eventually learned. To avoid that lesson, Americans must return to the God of its Puritan founders.
