22nd Annual “Rusty Ride” Held at Buckminn’s Harley Davidson a Success

Motorcycle enthusiasts and riders from all over the region joined together on Saturday, September
7, 2013 for the 22nd annual Rusty’s Ride Charity Motorcycle Ride in memory of Buckminn’s employee, Russell
“Rusty” Shearer, at Buckminn’s D&D Harley-Davidson in Xenia. Presented by the Xenia H.O.G. Chapter #2703
and sponsored by Buckminn’s D&D Harley-Davidson, this event is an annual fundraiser that supports the efforts of the Greene Community Health Foundation.

The scenic route took riders and passengers throughout the County, returning to Buckminn’s in the afternoon to
enjoy a hog roast and homemade desserts provided by Xenia H.O.G. Chapter members. A basket raffle and an
auction called by Dave Curtis in memory of his son Ryan, were held featuring biker-related items and gift baskets donated and provided by local community members and businesses.

A total of $7,808.66 was raised in support of the Greene Community Health Foundation that will assist Greene
County families this holiday season. Over the last 21 years, this event has raised a grand total of over $138,000.00.

The Foundation would like to thank the Rusty’s Ride event coordinators, Xenia H.O.G. Chapter #2703 and
Buckminn’s D&D Harley-Davidson, for their ongoing support and dedication. The date has been set as September
6, 2014 for the 23rd annual Rusty’s Ride event. For more information on Rusty’s Ride, please contact Carol Sue
